Adult Ed

Escambia County's Leader in Adult Education

George Stone Technical College offers a variety of adult education programs tailored to help individuals build essential skills for the workforce or further education. These programs focus on foundational skill development, including adult basic education (ABE), GED preparation, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). The college aims to support adult learners in achieving their personal and professional goals, whether it's earning a high school equivalency diploma, improving language proficiency, or preparing for a specific career path.

  1. Adult Basic Education (ABE): This program is designed to help students improve fundamental skills in reading, writing, and math. ABE provides a foundation for those looking to build their academic skills or prepare for the GED program.

  2. GED Preparation: For individuals who want to earn their high school equivalency diploma, the GED prep program offers structured study materials, practice exams, and personalized instruction to increase success rates on the GED test.

  3. Adult High School: This program is designed for individuals seeking to earn their high school diploma. This program provides a flexible and supportive environment for students who did not complete high school but wish to return and fulfill their graduation requirements.
  4. ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages): The ESOL program serves non-native English speakers, providing training in English language skills necessary for effective communication in daily life, work, and academics.

George Stone Technical Colleges adult education programs are affordable, flexible, and geared toward the needs of adult learners. Classes are available in various formats and schedules to accommodate students with jobs, families, and other responsibilities.
