
The purpose of this program is to prepare students for employment or advanced training in a variety of occupations in the information technology industry. This program equips students with the knowledge, skills, and practical application of Information Technology essential for achieving job objectives and enhancing workplace performance. Covering a wide array of topics, from computer hardware/software to network fundamentals, students develop proficiency in various applications and technology concepts. Through hands-on projects/labs and theoretical understanding, students not only gain technical expertise, but also hone their critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication abilities, laying a strong foundation for success in diverse IT roles.
The program is structured as a progressive sequence of instruction, consisting of four occupational completion points. Following this sequence is designed to facilitate students’ preparation for industry certifications, such as CompTIA Tech+ and CompTIA A+. Upon completing the requisite competencies at any completion point, students can choose to pursue further training or graduate as occupational completers.
